Postpartum doula support ยท Austin, TX
Tending the ground so your roots can take hold.
The early days of parenthood can feel like everything is shifting suddenly and all at once. I tend to the care, the nourishment, and the ground that holds your family up while you grow into this new season together.
The reality of postpartum
Postpartum can change more than
just your body.
Most new parents spend quite a bit of time researching, taking classes, and learning about the reality of childbirth. However, for many, the reality of postpartum catches parents off-guard.
The way your relationship with your partner has to find a new shape. The loneliness that can settle in for both partners. The feelings of being overlooked by people excited to welcome your new baby. The grief for parts of your former life the coexist with genuine love for this new one. The slow, disorienting realization that your identity is rebuilding itself from the inside out, and nobody warned you that could happen.

Families were never meant to do this alone.
For most of human history, becoming a family was something that happened inside a web of support. The early weeks were not something you were meant to just “survive”. They were a miraculous becoming that your community carried you through.
That web is thinner now, not because people care less, but because life has gotten fuller and faster for everyone. And so many new families find themselves in a strange, quiet gap. Deeply loved, but still trying to survive on their own.
Postpartum doula care exists to clase that gap. Not to replace the people in your life, but to show up in the ways that new families have always needed and too often go without.
How I can help
Support that meets your family where you are.
Emotional Support + Parental Guidance
The early weeks of parenthood can feel isolating, overwhelming, and full of questions you did not expect. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental presence in your home and honest conversations about what you are experiencing. Whether you need help processing your birth story, navigating adjustment to your new life, I’m here for that.
Postpartum Recovery + Nourishment
Your body has done extraordinary work and it needs real, sustained care to recover. I can support you with nourishing meals prepared in your kitchen, light housekeeping so your home feels restful, or other kinds of practical support that gives you permission to slow down. I will meet you where you are to determine what you need in that moment to support your recovery.
Newborn Care +
Feeding Support
From diapering and bathing, to soothing techniques and wake windows, I help you build confidence in caring for your baby. Whatever way you are feeding your baby, I provide support and can guide you through the ups and downs, and connect you with specialist support, if needed.
My philosophy
The care a family receives in the beginning shapes the foundation for everything they build together.
Support that helps you discover your confidence and steady your ground.
You already carry the instincts, the love, and the capacity to care for your baby. You will get plenty of outside opinions in this season, from well-meaning family, from the internet, from strangers in the grocery store. What you might not get enough of is someone who gives you the space to find your own voice as a parent, and then supports you in trusting it.
I come alongside your growing family to help you find your rhythm, not mine.
About Laura Beth
I’m Laura Beth, a Postpartum Doula and Yoga Nidra teacher in training based in Austin, Texas. My background in psychology gave me a deep understanding of how profoundly the postpartum period affects our nervous systems, our relationships, and our sense of self.
When I became a mother, I felt all of it firsthand, and it led me here. I believe our culture should treat postpartum support and parental mental health with the critical respect it deserves. When we pour into growing families, we are building a stronger foundation for all of us. That is the heart of Tended Ground.

Your world is growing
You aren’t in this alone.
Whether you are still expecting, deep in the newborn haze, or somewhere in
between, I would love to talk about what support could look like for your family.
Sometimes that conversation alone is the first breathe of relief.
